- Carbon (C): 0.08%-0.13% ensures weld metal strength
- Manganese (Mn): 1.50%-1.90% for deoxidation and improved strength/toughness
- Silicon (Si): ≤0.07% to balance strength and toughness
- Sulfur (S): ≤0.035% (controlled as harmful element)
- Phosphorus (P): ≤0.035% to prevent reduced toughness
