AWS ER304 Solid Wires Stainless Steel Mig Wire / Ss Welding Wire AWS A5.9
Product Description
ER304 stainless steel welding wire is a widely used stainless steel welding material.
Chemical composition
The main alloy composition of ER304 stainless steel welding wire is similar to that of 304 stainless steel, containing about 18% - 20% chromium (Cr), 8% - 10% nickel (Ni), and the carbon (C) content is usually controlled below 0.08%. Chromium can form a dense oxide film on the surface of stainless steel, improving corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance; nickel helps to enhance the toughness and corrosion resistance of stainless steel, especially in terms of corrosion resistance to reducing media; low carbon content can reduce the tendency of intergranular corrosion. In addition, it also contains a small amount of manganese (Mn), silicon (Si) and other elements for deoxidation and improving welding process performance.
Mechanical properties
Tensile strength: The tensile strength of the welded joint is generally not less than 520MPa, with high strength, which can meet the load-bearing requirements of most stainless steel structures.
Elongation: The elongation is usually not less than 40%, which makes the welded joint have good plasticity and toughness, able to withstand a certain degree of deformation without breaking, and adapt to various working conditions.
